Types of Aid

Presidential Scholarship

Graduating high school seniors from our service areas of Wyandotte or Leavenworth counties with at least a 3.3 GPA and qualifying ACT and ACCUPLACER test score are eligible for our Honor's Presidential Scholarship, which pays for tuition and fees up to 18 hours per semester.

The Kansas Promise Scholarship Act is a last dollar scholarship program for Kansas high school graduates and students 21 and over who enroll in select in-demand programs. For more information and a list of the programs

The Kansas Promise Scholarship

Each semester the KCKCC Foundation awards scholarships in amounts ranging from $500 to $1800 per semester to selected applicants. Scholarships are awarded based on GPA, major or residency criteria.

Have a special talent in Art, Debate, Journalism, Music, Theatre/Drama or Athletics? Use your talent to earn money for school. Performance grants help hundreds of talented students each year pay for school, with grants ranging from partial to full tuition payments.

Paying for college is easy using a payment plan. It divides your tuition and fee balance into affordable monthly payments. There's no interest, payment options are flexible, and it's easy to enroll!

A third-party entity is defined as an individual, private, government or state agency, or other outside entities who will assist in paying for any portion of your tuition and/or fees, books, certifications etc.

This is used when an invoice directly from KCKCC is required. Examples include military TA, State Vocational Rehab, workforce centers, Tuition reimbursement, employer paid funding, etc.

Our Programs

Kansas City Kansas Community College is devoted to workforce development. Academically, KCKCC offers four Associate degrees, many 1-year programs and Certificate programs. Students may enroll in pre-professional programs and transfer to a four-year university or college, or earn a 1-year Certificate or 2-year degree and enter the workforce.

Whether you are a current student or just deciding where you might want to apply for college, the MyMajors Assessment is used to help confirm your program of study and/or to help students who are exploring to discover degrees at KCKCC. The assessment will take about 20 minutes of your time and will recommend your best-fit programs that match your academic achievement, aptitude, unique interests and preferences.

A Home for Our Blue Devils

A new home for new experiences

Centennial Hall was designed for our students to live, learn, and grow as individuals while building a community with shared goals. More than 200 students can live in the 4-story housing complex in that was completed in 2022. Every student has a private bedroom with a shared living space and kitchenette in their 3 or 4-person suite!.

When students want to unwind and relax, they will have access to the e-gaming rooms or play with the various tabletop games in the lounge area. They will also have a grilling area, outdoor amphitheater, hammock area, and basketball court just a few feet from the hall.

Practical services like laundry, mail and package delivery are also located within the hall for our students convenience!

Athletics

Let's Go Blue Devils!

Athletes at KCKCC excel both on the playing fields and in the classroom. Whether you are a student athlete or a sports fan, Blue Devil pride runs deep!

Make sure you do not miss the action. Students can attend sporting events for FREE when playing at home.

Our Field House is one of the busiest facilities on the KCKCC campus. The 2,500-seat Field House is not only the home to the Blue Devil basketball and volleyball teams, it is the focal point of numerous activities and events throughout the year.
