Our music department offers scholarships, known as Music Performance Grants, for up to six semesters. The award covers tuition only (not books or fees), and the award is only for Fall and Spring semesters (it is not offered for Summer semester). Students of any major may apply for a music scholarship.

- Students must fill out a FAFSA form in order to be considered for a music scholarship.
- Students must maintain an overall grade point average of 2.5, plus a 3.0 GPA in music classes.
- Recipients must participate in all functions of the ensembles to which they are assigned, take applied lessons each semester they are on a Performance Grant, and carry at least 12 credit hours.
- Performance Grants are awarded at levels covering 25%, 50% 75%or 100% of tuition per semester. The award level may be adjusted up or down on a semester-by-semester basis (or revoked) based on the student's academic performance, growth as a musician, and commitment to both ensembles and the Music Department as a whole.

Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation Scholarship
In the fall semester of 2020, with the aid of Dr. Justin Binek, KCKCC and the Ella Fitzgerald Memorial Foundation established a new collaborative relationship by offering a full scholarship for one deserving KCKCC jazz student.
